GRIEF

In the depths of sorrow’s embrace,

Where pain and love interlace,

I’ve learned a truth that whispers low,

Grief is love, unable to bestow.

It gathers like the morning mist,

In the corners of your eyes, it persists,

Unspent affection, seeking a way,

To find solace in the light of day.

A lump forms in your throat, so tight,

Words choked back, emotions ignite,

For love yearns to flow, to freely express,

But grief holds it captive, in silent duress.

Within your chest, an empty space,

Echoes of love’s unfulfilled embrace,

A hollow ache, a longing profound,

Grief, the love that cannot be found.

Yet, though it seems a heavy weight,

Grief’s essence is bittersweet,

For in its depths, love’s fire still burns,

A tribute to all that the heart yearns.

So let tears flow like a gentle rain,

Release the love, the joy, the pain,

For within grief’s tempestuous flow,

Love finds solace, and begins to grow.

Grief, I’ve learned, is love’s purest form,

A testament to a heart that’s warm,

Though it may ache, it teaches us true,

To cherish the love we’ve known and grew.

So let grief be a vessel, a sacred space,

To honor the love we can’t embrace,

And in the midst of life’s ebb and flow,

Let love find solace, let it ever glow.
